When one grows in Paris, it's easy to go on a journey a subway ticket in the pocket.
When I was a child, my favourite games consisted in taking the subway until the terminus.
At every door of Paris, a new adventure would begin.
Thanks to my profession, as a guide, I've travelled all around the world.
Nevertheless, I owe my deepest emotions to Paris.
The true heart of this capital pounds behind the façade of its popular districts.

I propose you to visit an unusual, confidential and authentic Paris, far from the eternal scenic clichés.

BELLEVILLE-MENILMONTANT

Climb the highest hill of the capital (the locals call it Menilmuche), and have Paris at your feet...
Many of the alleyways still resound with the gutter accents of Paris'underbelly which inspired, amongst others, Marcel Carne in his chef d'œuvre: "Children of Paradise".
One of the most beautiful views overlooking the city awaits you on  top of magnificent Belleville park... and let's not forget that the " Kid" Piaf was born a few sidewalks away...

   THROUGH THE COVERED WALKWAYS...

Come discover Paris in an intimate way, through its covered walkways,  behind the scenes of the Grands Boulevards. Without holding back,  these narrow alleys are a hive of the most diverse activities.
These labyrinths from another time, allow us to revisit history, in the tracks of the ladies of the night, of the "elegantes" of the 19th C, from one prestigious site to another, from Brongniart palace to the French Comedy via the Grevin Museum and the National Library...

FROM ONE SHORE TO THE OTHER

Go off-course beyond the shores of the Seine River, passing through small streets that still reek of another eras, here and there  occupied by historic sites seldom visited.
The first part of the  walk goes from Place de la Nation to Place Saint-Michel, a second part from Place Saint-Michel to Bastille.
